                                       Inspiration

Inspired by is such an insipid term

Its more earthshaking than that

Wasteland was one of the landmarks

Prufork close because it was in flow

Shakespeare and Walt Whitman left me cold

Emily Dickson did ignite something

Lets just say a slight murmur not a big bang

When the realization struck that poetry

Is not a string of fancy breathless words

It can be powerful

Even if not a mouthful

It can sing like WCW

It can melt you like plums

Poetry does not tamper with the world

But moves it *
