Unfettered
Note :
Today’s poetry resource is a series of twitter accounts that tweet phrases from different poets’ work. The Sylvia Plath Bot, as you might expect, tweets snippets of Plath. Two lines generated have been added in italics .
UNFETTERED
Yet in my winteriest moods ,
It never crossed my mind to doubt
Never to disbelieve in tales
Of faraway utopia
Of people living together
No war , no strife , only an idyll
Untouched and untouchable
Synthetic and sterilised
Living forever in cubes
While in our rough and ready land
We have trails and tribulations
We fall break our bones and sometimes die
In the land of free we survive
Unfettered and unshackled
