Pentameter looks lovely on a page

Making it iambic is all the rage

Sometimes a

Haiku can relieve

undue stress .

Rubaiyat makes an emotional swing

A pendulum stretched by a silk string

So many highs and lows but no evens

Hidden in each stanza a lethal sting

Lets not forget

the free verse

no boundries

no red lines

free reign

Than there are the limericks

Who hide behind many tricks

Whenever they tripped and fell

Words were unable to blend and gel

Poems are never born by gimmicks
